Louise Oppenheimer
Bio
After graduation and living in London, Louise moved to Argyll in 1985 where her childhood dream of living in a landscape of exposed rock could be fulfilled, delighting in the rich and variedlandscape of the area, which has revealed subject matters that have never ceased to inspire her. Building her studio/gallery in Kilmartin Glen, she has welcomed visitors, run workshops and continues to exhibit both in Scotland, England and overseas.
Louise’s commitment to the medium of hand weaving has allowed her reputation to grow steadily and as a member of Artmap Argyll, she has helped sustain a lively interest in community arts projects and open studio trail within the area.
